Adelle grabbed my hand and said "cum, ma" and pulled me into the bedroom with all the energy she had. Once we standing next to my bed she put her hands over her mouth and said "oh no, daddies gone!" Then she ran into the kitchen with me following behind and looked this way and that repeating her little chant "oh no, daddies gone!" She would put her hands up as if he as disappeared and then put them over her mouth in shock and horror. After a few minutes of this she ran over to the front door and said "E suk at wrk!" (he's stuck at work)
It's just too cute to her our little girl noticing and saying things like "daddies gone, he's at work"

Daddy is her superhero!
When he is here she wants his undivided attention. She treats him with a thousand times more respect then I get. She goes straight to him with whatever it is that she may need.
When he is gone she sits and looks at his pictures, talks about him and becomes overly excited at the prospect on going to the hospital to visit him at work ("rrek")
It's inspiring and beautiful to see thier bond grow with age and how important and special "daddy" is to a little girl.

Adelle's favorite word to say these days is "whoa". She'll climb up on a stool or sit on the edge of her bed and say "wwwhhww" with a big smile.
She is also fascinated with pictures. She asks me to carry her around the house so that she can point to every picture and ask "ww dat" - unless the picture is of daddy, then she excitedly says "dyady"

My daughter loves to dance... especially to the beach boys :)
I woke up unusually early on Saturday morning and noticed that the light was on in Adelle's room. Thinking this meant that she must be awake I walked over to her half opened door and peeked inside. Adelle was lying on the floor with her knee's tucked up underneath her and shivering - completely asleep! I put a blanket over her, careful not to wake her up and crawled back into bed. Even more surprising was that she slept until after 10:00am.
We think that she might sleep walk - Nolan did as a child and it runs in his side of the family.

Three things that Adelle says that sound cute
Bottle - "bouwle"
Fast cars - "fss caurr"
Help Me - "hullpp pe"
She wants to talk and will repeat the words after me and try to say them the right way.

Adelle has an imagination that just amazes me at times. She likes to pick up invisible food and feed it to me. She laughs as I make slurping, gulping, and smacking sounds followed by a yum! or yucky face. This is also one of her favorite games to play with her daddy.
She is so curious of the world around her and can't seem to soak up enough information in one day. She points to everything in sight and waits for me to name it, then tries to copy me. Most of her words are partial sounds or mumbles. Yet, she continues each and everyday pointing to the same things and trying to repeat the words after me.

I don't know how I'll break Adelle of her pacifier. She now says the word or close to - "pa,see,ir"

Adelle loves to color with crayons ... on everything! The fridge, the floor, the stairs, furniture and even, sometimes, she'll color on paper or in her coloring books. I started drawing the letter "A" whenever she asked me to color with her and eventually moved on to "B". It back-fired as everything with a two year old seems to do.
When we were at meeting a couple of nights ago, I gave Adelle her paper and crayons to keep her quietly occupied. She was doing so well and then handed me a crayon and asked me to color. Without thinking about what may occur I drew the letter "A" and "B".
Adelle took the crayon from me and looked at her paper. Then for the first time she shrieks "A!" while pointed to the correct image I had drawn on her paper. Followed quickly by "B!" This continued until I had to take her in the back and kindly explain that meeting is where we learn about Jehovah and Jesus. I expressed how proud I was that she knew her letters.

Potty Training mishaps: Adelle has successfully used her potty three times in the last couple of days. She used the potty after breakfast this morning and was running around diaper-less all morning. I knew she was going to need to go again soon so I was keeping a close eye on her. Then Yukio scratched the glass sliding as a reminder that it was time to take him outside. Another dog from the neighbourhood has been coming over and marking our yard so Yukio was taking longer then normal finding the perfect spot. After deciding on a taller puff of grass he raised his leg and managed once again to pee on this front leg. So I picked him up to bring inside and clean him off. Adelle was standing in the dinning room smiling at me when I noticed the puddle under her. I put the dog down and squatting down, asking Adelle to come to me. She smiled huge and then dropped to the floor and began to swim in her yellow puddle, giggling all the while.

Adelle has an attitude that could be very dangerous if not reined in and redirected towards good. Example: She was sitting next to me on the couch the other day, playing quietly with her toys. I was knitting and enjoying her company, when she dropped one of her toy horses. Adelle looked at the horse, looked at me and then while pointed said "get it!" I replied with a simple "No, you get it", and went back to my project. Thinking that I was not listening to her request repeated her command, "GET IT!" After I explained that she can pick up her own toy she hit me on the arm and says "Bad Dog."
